David Maghee

Name

David Macghee set up his own business and harbour in the Canary Islands. He was executer to his father Captain Theobald Macghee's will. David's son in law Dionisio O'Daly was a son of a West Cork born friend of David who accompanied David to the Canary Islands. Dionisio became a major political figure in the Canary Islands and to this day a main street in La Palma de Santa Cruz, Calle O'Daly is named after him.
